At WEDUNIT Jewels, we offer handmade artisan jewelry, using precious and semi precious gemstones, crystals and lamp work glass all set into sterling silver, gold and copper. We can customise every item or create a brand new, one-off special piece according to the client's wishes.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I live in the country and the internet is the only way to successfully market my jewelry.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
3 years ago. The site was already made to sell my jewelry, but it was under a different name.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
'WEDUNIT' is the name of our property.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I offer a very broad range of jewelry. From good quality costume pieces to solid gold pieces with precious gemstones. I continually add new designs and improve my techniques. I can customize each piece (size, material etc.), with a very short turn-over time. I work this business full time as opposed to a lot of jewelry artisans who see it more as a hobby.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My main goal is to improve every aspect of my business.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It is not yet where I want it to be.

invest into seo, improve the site to get more traffic

yes - definitely. Can't wait.

when we got a virus which virtually destroyed our first website

none so far
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I never expected it to be so involved (getting the meta tags right, all the meta descriptions etc.)
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site has been running for 3 years, I will continue to keep it up indefinitely
