A giant emerald weighing around 850 pounds (180,000 carats) is now under the custody of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department after allegations of theft and document falsification arose.
Appraised at around $370 million, there is now a dispute between the claimed owner, the company he sold the gemstone through, and a potential buyer.
