In a posted article by Examiner Liza Wade in Examiner.com (link below), she addresses the impact of wearing perfumes, lotions, sunblocks and other cosmetics on woman's jewelries.
Some less notice this but using perfumes right after wearing your precious diamond may ruin the beauty of this jewelry. This is because according to Gina Latendresse, President of American Pearl Company, pearls are organic, meaning when they are exposed to chemicals such as perfumes they tend to break down the top layer of the pearl and makes it dull.
It is then advised to first apply perfumes and other cosmetic products in the body, wait till they dry and your ready to wear those lovely jewelries.
