What inspired you to launch your own website?
I love e commerce........
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
About 6 months back and it was hip hop related.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Well the name of my website is cyberistic.net and I have come up with this name because it really reflects the worlds shopping habits. My moto and logo is "An Artistic Value In A Cyber Driven World" If you come to think of it, this is the actual way things will be in the future our habits which are cyber driven and quality and value that I give (artisitc value) so you get the best of both worlds :)
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Well first of all I ship immediately secondly, my quality is really good and all my customers are satisfied. I have over 1000 hits already since 2 months of counting.....and best of all any questions or emails are immediately replied to...:)
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Well eventual goal is to create a landmark whenever anyone thinks of buying on the internet they will look up cyberistic.net and obviously to build a good income as well.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
well at the moment the balancing is pretty good it acts as s good supplement to my overall income and most of all I enjoy doing it :)
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
well first of all I will buy servers and start hosting my own website and then I will start giving out free emails to everyone (Lke yahoo google hotmail ;) then I will hire some programmers and all they will do all day is add my listings improve my seo listing and also add multiple contents relating to HIP HOP on the web......
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Absolutely I have the merchandise, expertise and also the willingness to accept any challenge and I know I can keep up with any demand!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
well sometimes my software acts up and then I need to manually update my website (time consuming) so other than time I really did everything on my own (right from designing to promoting to shipping) so it was very inexpensive....
What has been your biggest challenge?
Biggest Challenge is to get qualified and willing to buyers to click and come to the website......So far successfully in a small way but know very well will excel in this area...(which is why I was on your website ;)
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
word of mouth and also linking my website to ebay and also to craigslist
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
well not really I knew when I decided to launch the website that it is going to take work and I am willing to do the work so I guess its great:)
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
well its been 5 or 6 months so far am happy with what I have gained and I know it will grow in the future so I am optimistic but if for some reason doesn't work out it will always stay there.
