Please give us a short summary of your website?
My website offers a selection of beaded jewelry including beaded bracelets,beaded necklaces,and beaded earrings. We use an assortment of beads including but not limited to freshwater pearls,swarovski crystal,ceramic, and glass beads,precious stones,and shell beads.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Beading started as a hobby for me, and turned into much more. After numerous request about my jewelry my friends and family started to make purchases from me. As word spread my orders increaded, and I decided to take my sales to the next level.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is actually my first go at selling my jewelry online, and i hope it will be a great experience for me.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Well, FAP is just the first letters in my first , middle, and last names and i thought creations was a nice touch just in case i wanted to broaden my horizons, and make other items.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I think i put a peice of me into everything I make. I try to make quality products that people will be pleased with. I use my own imagination to come up with creative ideas for jewelry, and that comes out in my work.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My eventual goal is to make a steady income with my jewelry, and eventually one day open my own bead shop. It would also be nice to be featured in a few magazines.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I ivest a lot of time and money into what i do because i believe the outcome will be much greater. I know that it takes time to build a business and i'm willing to do the hard work to become successful.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I think that would allow me to be more creative with my ideas. For example using more expensive materials, and experiment with different things. It would also help with being able to promote my product, because marketing is important.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Well, that would be a blessing. I'm ready for whatever comes my way, and I know i will succeed.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
I don't really have any headaches at the moment...lol, except that the online process is slow. It involves a lot of time and promotion.
What has been your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge is to be noticed in this sea of other creative people. Thats why i try to be different and add a peice of me to everything I make.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I think word of mouth is the best form of promotion, and right now thats what I'm focused on. But also inclusion into the major directories is something I'm working on.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Well since I've just started I'm still going through the motions. So I havent had any real hurdles yet.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Well I just joined Artfire but before that and I still do have a store on Ecrater which is http://fapcreations.ecrater.com. That has been up for a little while, but I've decided to try something new.
If you could acomplish one thing in life what would it be?
To take over the world!!!!
